The Sugar Bee Story

I love handmade soap! My first experience with a handmade bar was a lemon poppy-seed bar made with hemp and coconut oil, purchased from a local store in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I fell in love instantly; there was a simple luxury about the smooth, creamy feeling on my skin, and it made me feel great. I definitely loved using it.

Once that was gone, I realized that the dry skin I had always been experiencing had subsided, only to come back when using commercial bars. I didn't realize I considered that feeling "normal" until it wasn't normal. After doing some research, I concluded that I could be reacting to some of the ingredients found in many commercial bars. I decided to try making my own cold process soap to test out my theory. It was a success! No more overly dry, itchy skin.

I started up Sugar Bee Bath so that everyone can enjoy the same fantastic feeling of 100% handmade cold-process soap. Years of research and testing have gone into my formula to bring you the best cleansing and moisturizing bars imaginable. What I came up with was a wonderfully long-lasting bar with a smooth, creamy lather and clean rinse that is a blessing for your skin!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I appreciate any and all feedback, and please feel free to inbox me with any questions or concerns.

All the best,

ABOUT THE OWNER

Sharie, aka Sugar, was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She's always had a flair for being creative. From 1997-2011, she was composing and producing electronic music under the pseudonym Evey Styles. However, with the tragic loss of all of her equipment in 2011, she turned her focus on other endeavors.

Sharie has also lived in Edmonton, AB, where she took Radio Arts Broadcasting at NAIT before moving to Saskatoon, SK. Before too long, the call of her hometown, Prince Albert, brought her back in 2009, and she has been there ever since.

Besides soapmaking, Sharie loves gardening, golfing, and summer evenings by the fire. She also works full-time at a local art gallery. She's currently enjoying her quiet life in Prince Albert with her loving spouse and four fluffy cats.
